WHAT
IS EMILY'S LIST
The name EMILY's
List is an acronym for "Early Money Is
Like
Yeast," from the
common political saying, "Early money is like yeast,
because it helps to raise the dough."
A common
misconception among the public is that the organisation was
named after a woman named Emily.
The saying is a reference to a
convention of political fundraising: that receiving lots of
donations early in a race is helpful in scaring off challengers
and attracting other, later donors.
WHAT THEY
STAND FOR
EMILY's List members and the
candidates they support are:
Pro-Choice
Pro-Equity
Pro-Childcare
Pro-Equal Pay and
Pro-Diversity
EMILY's List members and candidates
must support in the community, and in
Parliament, the principles of equity, diversity,
pro-choice, and the provision of equal
pay and childcare.
These women, including several so-called
'Catholics', have sold their souls in return for political
favours. Interestingly, many do not openly advertise
their membership of Emily's List, possibly because of their
Christian heritage.
